Welcome to Woking & District Tennis League

Woking & District Tennis League is a local tennis league, comprising tennis clubs based in Woking and the surrounding areas. Any recognised tennis club within a reasonable travelling distance (about 10 miles) from Woking, is eligible to join the League.

The League was formed in February 1953 and started with just 8 clubs, participating in a mixed doubles league. Over the years, the League has grown steadily and currently there are 26 member clubs participating in League matches. The League now provides a structure for competitive tennis matches between these member clubs. The matches cover mens, ladies and mixed doubles.

Woking & District Tennis League provides year round competitive tennis by running two separate leagues; namely a Summer League and a Winter League. The Summer League is primarily a mid-week League and matches are played from April to August. The Winter League is primarily a weekend League and matches are played between October and March. The Summer League in 2010 had 3 divisions of mens doubles, 4 divisions of ladies doubles and 3 divisions of mixed doubles. A total of 92 teams entered the 2010 Summer League. The 2010/2011 Winter League has 5 mens divisions, 5 ladies divisions and 4 mixed divisions. A total of 100 teams have entered the 2010/2011 Winter League.
